Town-Wide Pajama Sale

Always the 1st Saturday in February. Come to town in your pajamas to receive discounts throughout town, some shops open as early as 5am! The Trading Place Antique Gallery participates by opening regular hours 9am - 5pm. We offer you a wide variety of discounts by participating vendors. Enjoy a day of shopping in Shipshewana in your pajamas! (store hours vary, check with each store for their hours that day)

Land & Lakes Outdoor Garden Show

A new show is coming to Shipshewana and we are proud to be the host! This show will be held in conjunction with the already established Mayfest which takes place every year on the first Friday and Saturday in May. It is an event that many people over the years have enjoyed as this event features many small-town-fun events such as a parade, live music and entertainment, food, kid games and story telling, shopping, and much, much more. You will get a very good taste of what Shipshewana is all about.  

It is our goal to make this show unique as we are looking for various types of vendors that feature garden: such as nurseries and landscape, plants, trees, potted flowers, outdoor architectural objects, garden art, out sider art. Artists that create whatever; if you’re an artist we are interested in you whether it is painting, glass, pottery, photography, sculpture, wood, whatever medium you work in, please call. Green: a very popular word these days: if you are a vendor of recycled products, a product that is making a difference in our ecology, you know who you are, call us. Last but not least, antiques. "Antiquers" have been thinking “green” for years. Preserving the past, restoration, not throwing away, appreciating what was before, you get the picture. We are putting this all together in one setting, hoping to create a very unique event for you. 

All this to take place on green grass in front of the Antique Gallery. Shop the show, shop the Gallery, come to Mayfest and enjoy the day in Shipshewana!

Shipshewana Antique Market
May 16 & August 1, 2009 7am - 4pm
A fast growing market always held the 3rd Saturday in May and the 1st Saturday in August. The market has become a town-sponsored event. Over 100 vendors are setting in the grassy areas, under the big top, and around the winding sidewalks of the antique gallery offering a wide array of quality antiques including primitives, refinished furniture, toys, pottery and glass, plus much more. Enjoy the outdoor shopping of the market as well as the indoor shopping of the gallery. Food on the grounds. No admission fee.

Evening at the Gallery
November 13, 2009 6pm - 8pm
Open House: Food, discounts, door prizes! Meet the vendors, make a good deal and enjoy the many fine plates of goodies brought in by the vendors. Eat a hot sandwich, win a door prize and enjoy the evening. Usually around 1000 people in attendance! This event is held the 2nd Friday in November from 6:00pm –8:00pm.

Antique Appraisal - Fun Fair - February 14, 2009 11am - 2pm
Held each year the 2nd Saturday in February. For $8.00 per item have your family heirloom or treasure looked at by our panel of experts for their opinion and approximation of value.
